Brandon Hobbs, 25, of Merri Street, appeared in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court on Monday and his bail was revoked.
He made no application for bail and was remanded in custody until March 23 when he will be back in court for a plea hearing.
Mr Hobbs also has two briefs of evidence listed for hearing in a Melbourne court on March 3.
Monday, 815am: A MAN forcibly arrested in a Warrnambool restaurant on Friday night after a foot chase will appear in the Warrnambool court on Monday.
Detective Senior Constable Stuart Revell, of the Warrnambool-based divisional response unit, said a wanted 25-year-old man was see walking along Merri Street about 8pm Friday.
"We tried to stop him, he fled, there was a foot and he was eventually located in a nearby restaurant where he was forcibly arrested and taken to the Warrnambool police station," he said.
"He was wanted on one warrant and for questioning in relation to five burglaries committed in Warrnambool, Ballarat and Altona North."
Detective Senior Constable Revell said the man made admission to those burglary allegations.
The 25-year-old was already on bail charged with 16 offences and he has now been charged with an additional 42 offences.
He will appear in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court for a bail/remand hearing on Monday.
