As part of Warrnambool’s Sustainable Living Festival school’s day, pupils showed off their artistic talents, making funky puppets out of household rubbish, with help from the Trash Puppets company.
Students participated in workshops that highlighted the importance of recycling and walking or riding their bike whenever they can.
The Sustainable Living Festival continues on Saturday, with plenty of activities on Warrnambool’s Civic Green from 10am, including a range of market stalls, a pop up café, a fashion parade, children’s activities and exhibits from businesses and community groups.
Ecological sustainability practitioner Ian McBurney is the keynote speaker.
