The event attracts hundreds of visitors annually as well as some of the best country music artists in Australia.
Festival chairman Geoff Barby said he was very excited about the program that has been assembled for 2017.
“Joining big names like Beccy and Tim we have a wealth of local artists this year, including Andrea Weel and Annie Wall and we even have a local whip cracker, 15-year-old Jarrad MacDonald this year,” he said.
Self taught, the Hexham youth learned to crack a whip five years ago at The Man From Snowy River Festival at Corryong and is now taking away prizes from the same event.
“We have been swamped with approaches from artists, such is the esteem that they place on our event, and our program directors, Tim O’Sullivan and Andrea Bell, have pulled together a stellar program which is sure to entertain a wide range of music tastes,” Mr Barby said.
The festival has been buoyed this year by Fanny Lumsden, who has just picked up a Golden Guitar Award at Tamworth this year for Best New Artist along with a swag of other artists, including favourite Kiara Rodrigues, who love their music.
Tickets are available from the website at www.terangcountrymusic.com.au or visit the historical Terang post office and pick them up over the counter.
