More than 150 hot rods circled the town for hours as part of this year’s 35th annual Port Fairy Rod Run.
The event, which ran across the weekend, also showcased hot rods and classic cars at Southcombe Park.
Organiser Mr Brian Watt said it was a great success.
“Sunday is the main day but last night’s cruise night had a great atmosphere,” Mr Watt said.
“There were people everywhere.”
Cruise night took drivers on a designated route around the town’s hub including past the town’s aged care facility on Villiers Street.
“We make a point of going past the aged care facility – they sit out the front and really appreciate the drive-by,” he said.
Mr Watt admitted it was difficult to estimate patronage but believed it to be in the thousands.
“I looked up at one stage and all I could see was a sea of people looking through cars.”
