The markets include a vast array of stalls and delectable food.
There is also live music and entertainment, making it a great evening out.
Markets are on December 30 then every Friday in January from 4.30pm to 8.30pm.
Warrnambool City Council events manager Kim Griffith said the summer markets provided something for everyone.
“If you’ve been to the markets before, you probably don’t need much convincing to return this year,” Ms Griffith said.
“If you’ve never been, I’d encourage you to come down and browse the dozens of market stalls, grab a bite to eat and find a spot on the grass to enjoy some great live music.
“With the markets running for five Fridays, that’s plenty of opportunity to soak up the atmosphere at one of the city’s most enjoyable recurring events.”
Once the sun dips below the horizon, it’s time to settle in and enjoy a film under the stars.
The outdoor cinema is on January 6 and 13, with films commencing at dusk – about 8.30pm.
The enclosed cinema space has been set up at Lake Pertobe and includes sheltered and undercover areas to watch the films from.
The first film is The Jungle Book (PG).
The latest incarnation of Rudyard Kipling’s classic tale contains elements of action, adventure, nature and romance.
The next film is the instant Australian classic, The Dressmaker (M).
Starring Kate Winslet and Liam Hemsworth, it is a stylish drama with comedic undertones about love and revenge.
It was mostly filmed in the Wimmera.
Tickets to the outdoor cinema cost $2.
All proceeds will go to the Rotary Club of Warrnambool Daybreak.
Organisers recommend people attending the markets to park at Cannon Hill or Flagstaff Hill.
