Koroit Carols by the Railway attracted more than 350 people on Sunday.
The event, at the Koroit Railway Station, featured a long list of local performers. Koroit Lions Club presented the carols in partnership with the Koroit Irish Festival committee.
Adele McDonald, committee member of the Koroit Irish Festival, said the day was a huge success.
“The carols proved to be such a wonderful community celebration with everyone getting into the Christmas spirit,” Mrs McDonald said.
“The talent that emerged at the carols was incredible. Koroit is so fortunate to have such a wealth of gifted musicians and singers.
“Even the first timers from various Koroit community groups got into the swing of things and put on a great show. It was all brilliant.”
Mrs McDonald said there had been much talk about getting carols back in Koroit and the railway station provided the perfect venue.
”The platform served as a ready-made stage and the beautifully maintained gardens were ideal for the carol goers to chill-out and soak in the atmosphere,” Mrs McDonald said.
“The rail trail committee and Koroit Lions Club have done an incredible job beautifying the area.”
