PORT Fairy must have been a ghost town on Thursday, as the town’s residents made their way to Warrnambool for the annual racemeet.
The Port Fairy cup drew folk from the seaside town, with punters enjoying Christmas parties and catch-ups on the front lawn at the Warrnambool Racecourse.
The Fashions on the Field competition was hotly contested, with about 30 entrants.
Bright colours and floral designs were the order fo the day.
Allansford’s Sabrina Neave took out the competition and Port Fairy’s Bridie West was declared runner-up.
In front of the members grandstand cars from the South Coast Sports Cars group were on display.
