Kepler Street has reopened after a suspected gas leak at the Warrnambool NAB Business Banking Centre on Thursday.
Warrnambool CFA station officer Travis Klein said the building at 70 Kepler Street was evacuated after there was a smell of gas on the premises.
He said the CFA was called to the site at 12.28pm and the road was blocked for a short time by police, who also attended.
“We ran a gas detector through the building to make sure there was no leak. It’s better to be safe than to find out there’s a gas leak. The plumber’s going through the building now,” he said.
Investigations are continuing.
