A CYCLIST is in hospital after being run over in Warrnambool's Henna Street early Tuesday morning.

Warrnambool police Sergeant Callum McKinnon said the 49-year-old female cyclist was riding north in Henna Street about 6am when she was involved in an accident with a vehicle pulling out of the Warrnambool Holiday Village.
The 46-year-old Hamilton man driving stopped at the intersection with the street, but didn't see the rider and pulled out, turning right to head south on Henna Street.
The rider collided with the rear of the vehicle, fell off and one of rear wheel went over her legs.
She suffered injuries and was taken to Warrnambool Base Hospital for treatment.
Sergeant McKinnon said police investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident were continuing.
"Just a word of warning for all motorists be aware of cyclists," he said.
