The recently reappointed juniors coach said the focus remained to get as many juniors playing senior football as possible – a move that has proved vital for the senior side in recent years.
“The more we can get there, the better,” he said.
“Last year, we could’ve had about six or seven more qualifying for under 18s if need be, but they played seniors all year.”
The Bombers mentor said the side looked set to retain the bulk of its playing list from this year, with only about four growing too old to qualify for juniors.
Walsh has won flags both years he has been at the helm, with a drought-breaking win in 2015, before going back-to-back this year.
The club has also appointed seniors star Brody Mahoney as an assistant to Walsh in what will be his first foray into a coaching role.
