The church will host performances from singer-songwriter Maria Forde and popular trio Bhan Tre from 8pm as part of the Friends Of St Brigid’s fundraising efforts.
Forde and Bhan Tre both played to a packed house in St Brigid’s Hall earlier this year at one of the monthly 15 Minutes Of Fame concerts.
Forde is an Irish-Australian singer-songwriter who has released eight albums and regularly tours Ireland, as well as performing across Australia.
Bhan Tre have been regulars at the Koroit Irish Festival over the past decade with their haunting Celtic tunes.
Saturday night’s gig will be preceded by the opportunity to chow down on an Irish spud in the hall from 6.30pm.
The hall will also host a fundraiser gig on October 29 from 7pm featuring much-loved Celtic rockers The Borderers.
The festival favourites will be helping raise money for the Bandari Project, which sees the Port Fairy community contribute to improving the way of life for villagers in Tanzania.
