The woman had been driving along the Princes Highway with a male passenger when she attempted to do a U-turn into oncoming traffic where the road becomes the Henty Highway.
Sergeant Gary Cooper of Portland police said the South Australian’s vehicle was T-boned by a vehicle heading south on the Henty Highway.
The two South Australians – believed to be in their teens – and a male in his 30s from Heathmere were taken to Portland Hospital.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said the male teenager was stable and had suffered an arm injury, the female teenager was in a serious but stable condition, and the man from Heathmere was in a serious but stable condition with chest injuries.
Both cars were write-offs and towed from the scene.
