Mr Martelloni can well remember the tough time he had doing his plumbing apprenticeship, being transferred across a number of host employers as his apprenticeship manager struggled to find work for him.
Now qualified and running his own roof plumbing business, Mr Martelloni recently took on Tyler for work experience after Tyler struggled to find a building apprenticeship.
He was impressed with Tyler’s good work ethic and has since given him paid work. However he’s hoping a builder will take Tyler on as an apprentice to help him achieve his aspirations.
Tyler said he was doing a building and construction pre-apprenticeship course at South West TAFE but was also learning a lot with Mr Martelloni.
