Alex Moloney (Terang Mortlake), Nick Bourke (Kolora-Noorat), Darcy Keast (North Warrnambool Eagles), Andrew Pepper (Hamilton Kangaroos) and Kevin Bourke (Warrnambool) were part of the victorious Leopold outfit which defeated St Mary’s 14.9 (93) to 8.9 (57) at Simonds Stadium.
Moloney (one goal) and Keast were among the Lions’ best as the club claimed an historic first GFL senior premiership.
On the other side of the ledger, former Koroit pair Ben and Sam Dobson lined up for St Mary’s.
The brothers represented VFL clubs Essendon and Geelong respectively this season, after making the move to the Geelong region.
