Just days after being named in the best for the Tigers in their winning grand final against Dennington, Murphy with front the tribunal for a charge relating to a match from over seven weeks ago.
Deakin University Sharks requested the league look into an incident that occurred during the round 15 contest.
The tribunal had initially been set to sit last Wednesday, but had to be rescheduled due to a player being unavailable with work commitments.
The Hampden league independent tribunal will also sit on Wednesday night with Koroit’s Joe McLaren to contest a careless striking charge in the hope of playing in Saturday’s preliminary final against Port Fairy.
