The Bombers sit two points adrift of fifth-placed Terang Mortlake with five rounds remaining after casting South Warrnambool aside.
Their 55-33 victory, achieved without top-team regular Remeny McCann, pleased coach Nadine McNamara.
“We went in with a game plan to try and work on our timing, intensity and attack and the girls worked well,” she said.
McNamara said teenage goaler Molly Hutt and recruit Jess Wheadon led the way for the Bombers.
“Molly had a fantastic day. She shot accurately and worked hard defensively down the court,” she said.
“We spoke at the start about turning her attack into defence and she managed to get five turnovers.”
Wheadon played in three positions.
