The Nuffield Australia Farming Scholarships offer thirty farmers an opportunity to investigate national issues that matter to them in a global context.
Successful applicants receive $30,000 to participate in group and individual travel, study tours, global focus programs and a wide range of networking functions across two years.
Applications are open to primary producers and managers between the ages of 28 and 40.
Nuffield Australia CEO Jim Geltch said they were looking for passionate dairy farmers.
“Those who want to see change and are willing to make change for both industry and their farms,” he said.
Scholars will also attend the annual, international conference, featuring cutting-edge research outcomes and presentations by renowned national and international speakers.
Previous recipients in the south-west include United Dairyfarmers of Victoria president Adam Jenkins and South West Coast member Roma Britnell.
Applications close June 30.
