Judy Carmody made it back-to-back crowns after securing a 17-shot triumph over Kate Cornelissen.
Carmody, who plays off a handicap of nine, produced rounds of 84, 85 and 87 to etch her name on the honour board for an extraordinary 31st time.
Cornelissen went into the final round eights shots behind her mother and carded 273 across the tournament.
The pair said it was the first time they’d finished one-two at in their home club’s championships.
Cornelissen, 47, is searching for an elusive win, often having to battle with her mother for a chance at the title.
“She wants me to stay home,” Carmody joked.
The four-time Warrnambool Golf Club champion, who described her age as “that much and a little bit more”, said she loved playing alongside her daughter.
Carmody has played for four decades, while Cornelissen took up the sport 10 years ago.
Carmody, who plays off nine, and Cornelissen, who has a handicap of 12, often hit the greens together, in Terang and around the south-west.
“We get a lot of enjoyment out of playing with each other,” she said.
Cornelissen agreed.
“It is beautiful to see her play so well – and she does play so well,” she said.
“It was nice to be there with her in the final group (of the championships).
“We have played a lot together since I took it up.
“She took up golf when I went to kindergarten.”
Cornelissen said she had crafted her game around her mother’s technique.
“I do probably everything (similar) – and have her bad habits too,” she said, tongue-in-cheek.
“She is probably the main reason I took it up.”
Carmody said inclement weather made the final round difficult.
“I played a fairly steady three rounds of golf,” she said.
“It was hard work out there today. The first nine holes it was drizzling rain and was a bit damp and heavy underfoot and it did get cold with a few holes to go.”
Carmody plays golf up to four times a week during pennant season – the Western District Golf Association tournaments wrapped up on Monday.
Margie Driscoll (286) and Lynette Coxon (79 stableford points) won the Terang B and C grade championships respectively.
