Harry Boyd, Patrick Drake, Eloise Swarbrick and Willow Sainsbury teamed to finish runner-up at the under 15 tournament in Sale on the weekend.
They won four of their five preliminary rubbers, only dropping a match to eventual champion Central Gippsland, five sets to one.
South West fell to Central Gippsland again in the final.
Team manager Andrew Drake said South West played scintillating tennis on the Wilson clay courts.
“Out of the five rounds, we won four, demolishing them 23 sets to one which was an outstanding effort,” he said.
“In the final, which was well fought out and came down to the wire, we ended up on three wins each.
“But it came down to sets where we were 7-3 down.”
