Angus heifers with calves at foot made up to $2200 and Angus cows with cows at foot fetched up to $2040.
Warrnambool Stock Agents Association secretary Anthony Mahony said demand was very strong.
While there was more local competition, feedlotters including Teys Bros and Thomas Foods International dominated.
Restockers were also active with a big number of cattle bought for Deniliquin in NSW that has received 38 millimetres (1.5 inches) of rain.
Agents Corcoran Parker from Wangaratta were also active on behalf of restockers.
A big yarding of 2750 cattle were presented for the sale as producers targeted the big demand from restockers keen to replenish herds following earlier big sell offs.
Handy falls of rain during Friday lifted optimism that enough rain to constitute the autumn break might arrive soon.
Among the happy vendors was David Gow of Hawkesdale who sold 24 seven-month old Angus steers, averaging 284kgs, for 329c/kg.
Mr Gow said he had to sell the steers because he had no grass to feed them but the price was among the best he had ever received.
