North Ballarat Rebels-listed Mar Gattek will make his Hampden league senior debut against Terang Mortlake, lining up inside the Roosters’ attacking 50 alongside former TAC Cup-aligned player Kyden Jarvis, who has returned from injury.
South Warrnambool coach Mathew Buck said the teenage duo would add zip to an attack which was restricted to 63 points.
“They are both natural forwards, so they’re not going to be playing outside of their comfort zones as guys were last week, which gives us a bit of stability,” he said.
“Mar is a small forward who will give us a bit more dash.”
An much-improved South Warrnambool is searching for its third straight win, while Terang Mortlake wants to respond after starting its season with back-to-back losses.
