Lily’s dad Aaron Hester said the 800-kilometre ride had helped to raise the Live for Lily Foundation’s profile.
The foundation was established in Lily’s memory, in a bid to beat childhood cancer.
“One day we were a normal family and the next we were thrown into turmoil,” Mr Hester said.
He hopes to raise $50,000 during the ride, which concludes on Sunday in Carlton with a family day.
“It’s vindication of everything that we’re doing.
It makes us happy that Lily’s name goes to something she would be so proud of and excited about,” Mr Hester said.
