Their foundation, Live for Lily, will be represented as riders travel through the south-west this week.
Parents Sianne and Aaron Hester established the foundation in memory of their daughter Lily, who died from a rare liver cancer in August, 2014.
Through the 800 kilometre Ride for Lily they hope to raise money and awareness. The ride begins in Coonawarra on April 5 and finishes in Carlton on April 10.
Port Fairy is the first overnight stop with the 11 riders due to arrive in town on Tuesday. They then ride to Port Campbell on Wednesday and onto Apollo Bay on Thursday.
“We are striving to find a cure for childhood cancer, and with the help of funds raised, hope that one day an end will be put to the vicious disease,” Mrs Hester said.
The Hesters don’t want other families to endure the heartache that they did.
