EKB Fitness and Aerobics’ Accelerate team members received their Australian uniforms at a presentation on Saturday.
They will fly to the Netherlands on Thursday for the world championships.
Coach Emma Bellman said her eight-member junior fitness team’s preparation had been flawless.
“I watched their nationals routine yesterday and got a mum to film their routine yesterday,” she said.
“They have improved since nationals in such a short amount of time.
“Making finals (at worlds) is reasonable.”
Bellman said the teenage team had worked diligently fine-tuning its routine and building its fitness base. “Every day except Wednesdays they’ve had some sort of training,” she said.
“They are putting in a lot of hours and their dedication has been great.
“There’s not been a single training session missed.
“They have put in the hours and hopefully they can be rewarded for it.”
Sophie Bellman, Tiarna Drake, Samantha Stewart, Sarah Hill, Gaby Carty, Emily Lacey, Aylish Auchettl and Stephanie Umbers make up the Accelerate team.
Bellman said the girls were a “mixture of excitement and nerves”.
“I am very proud of them and the amount of support the community has given us has been overwhelming,” she said.
“We never thought we’d raise as much as we have. It’s a big community effort.”
Bellman has combined coaching with her own practice schedule.
She is a member of Devotion, which will compete in a trio section at the world championships, alongside Geelong clubmates Emma O’Keefe and Kayla Bamford.
She missed the Accelerate uniform presentation with training commitments in Geelong.
The world championships will be held from October 15 to 21.
