Warrnambool and District Drag Racing Association (WADDRA) will follow with a meeting on Sunday.
WADDRA president Tony Frost said the association was keen to get out on the track after its previous meeting was rained out.
“It should be a great day. We expect about 40-50 cars, at least, and up to about 12 bikes,” he said.
“We have a burnout competition afterwards.”
Frost said the value of the cars competing on Sunday would be high.
Racing will begin at 9am on Sunday at the north-west end of the aerodrome at the Warrnambool aiport, off Yarpturk School Road.
Elimination will be from about 12.30pm, followed by the burnout competition.
Frost said WADDRA was in negotiations to use its rain-out day, allowing it to host a third meeting for the season, but had to work around resurfacing works.
