One day before she married her partner Jordan, Mrs Sicely auditioned for Australia’s Got Talent as a member of dance crew Raw and Rugged.
Then, on the second day of their honeymoon, the newlyweds discovered they were going to be parents.
Although it was a whirlwind of activity for Mrs Sicely at the end of last year, she is now focusing on making it into the grand final of Channel Nine’s talent show.
Mrs Sicely started dancing when she was 14, under the tutelage of her sister, and last year one of the directors of Raw and Rugged invited her to audition with the crew.
“We had never danced together before,” she said.
“Their training started about 9pm on Fridays and finished around midnight. I would get back to Warrnmabool about 3am on Saturdays.
“I have to go to Melbourne to get that opportunity.”
Mrs Sicely said the first audition in front of the AGT producers was in October, before the 46-member crew made it through to an audition in front of judges Kelly Osbourne, Ian “Dicko” Dickson, Sophie Monk and Eddie Perfect.
“We got there at 8.30am and we were filmed throughout the day,” she said.
“We got four yes votes from the judges. They then deliberate and we became a wild card option.”
The Raw and Rugged crew will find out if they are through to the grand final on Sunday’s show.
