In his two seasons with the Kangaroos after crossing from Penshurst, Watson kicked 21 goals in 24 games at senior level.
He shot to prominence with a best-on-ground performance playing in the centre for the Hampden under 18.5 interleague team in its win over the Murray league in 2015.
Koroit coach Adam Dowie said Watson is likely to be part of the Saints’ impressive midfield group.
“He will give us another option through the middle,” Dowie said.
“He is pretty hard at it and is a left-footer so I think he will compliment the group we have in there.
“I think one of the attractions for Jayden to come to Koroit was the opportunity for him to play with and learn from guys like Isaac Templeton, Ben Goodall and Brett Harrington.
“He has played a lot of key position at Hamilton so I think he will enjoy the chance to spend more time on the ball.
“Jayden has moved down to Warrnambool to live so it is great we have been able to get him on board, he’s a quality young player and very quiet and unassuming, he will fit in well.”
It has been a busy off-season for the Saints who will be in pursuit of a third straight premiership in 2016. Watson joins Marcus Darmody (North Ballarat City), Tim McIntyre (Warrnambool) and Ben Walsh (Western Australia) as new recruits at Koroit.
