The last three seasons the GCA has finished runner-up at Bendigo Country Week, at division three level in the first year and division two at the past two attempts.
As it did last season, the GCA will field teams in division two and three with a 27-man training squad announced.
Last season the division three side was a development team but the strength of the 2015-16 squad indicates strong senior teams will be fielded in both divisions.
Team manager Norm Gibson said he is happy with the assembled squad.
“There are always a couple of players who are not available but this squad is above 90 per cent as far as full strength goes,” Gibson said.
“It is the strongest squad we have taken to country week for a long time and there is a real opportunity there to go that next step and win it.”
Bendigo Country Week will be played from January 18-23. The GCA will also contest junior country week in January to be coached by Andrew Bridge.
