St John of God Hospital Warrnambool fielded a team in the global initiative where men are invited to let their facial hair run wild for the cause.
The eight-member team, led by captain Brad Smith and members Trevor Matheson, John Boromeo, Mark Powell, Steve Baudinette, Adrian Benson, Paddy O'Connor and John Oxford, raised more than $1000 for the cause.
With November, or Movember, coming to an end this week, chief executive officer Trevor Matheson said the team had one last fund-raising push before meeting the razor.
“We had a fund-raising barbecue and a ’mo-off and that had good support,” he said.
“We raised more than $330 at the barbecue.”
“Movember is something St John of God Warrnambool likes to support being in the health field.”
