About 25 students from China, Thailand, Japan, Cameroon, India, Egypt, Ukraine, South Korea, Sri Lanka and Philippines shared home-cooked food with teachers and volunteer tutors after completing courses in Spoken and Written English.
English as a Second Language teacher Alana Gleeson said the Certificate I, II and III courses were a pathway to success for new arrivals.
“We encourage people who are new to Australia and Warrnambool to learn English as their second language because it’s such an important pathway to further training and employment.”
