Among the latest to give silage bales a bright new look is Logan Contracting, which this month used the pink wraps for silage on a farm owned by the Logan family at Ecklin.
The pink wraps raise funds for the McGrath Foundation, which receives money from each roll of pink wrap and pink netting.
The foundation places breast care nurses in communities and raises awareness about breast cancer.
Luke Webb from Logan Contracting said it did not know of any colleagues who had been affected by breast cancer but it had supported the initiative because it was a worthy cause.
Pink bales have also popped up at Bessiebelle and Port Fairy this harvest.
