The event raised more than $20,000 and co-ordinator Amy Atwell said the money would be spent on new play equipment for St John’s Dennington Primary School.
“There was lots and lots of bright faces and the weather was great,” she said. “It’s really lovely for the kids to be able to see where the money goes. We were well up on the past two years.”
Mrs Atwell said an inclusive dance session drew more than 60 participants and netball, basketball and martial arts workshops were also popular.
She estimated about 2500 enjoyed the event, which included pop-up shops with a variety of goods, the chance to have a photo taken with a Maremma and a farm yard filled with animals.
Mrs Atwell said an usual highlight in the farm yard was baby rats.
The event is a successful fund-raiser for the school and the community groups involved.
