Club delegates met on Wednesday night to determine how best to overcome a board dispute which escalated at a forum a week ago.
AFL Victoria Western District region general manager Lachy Patterson and commission chairman Greg Wood attended the meeting, which included multiple representatives from all 12 clubs.
Dennington delegate Tony Pola, who was appointed spokesperson, said clubs would seek a special general meeting if the spill did not eventuate before Friday afternoon.
“It was pretty much unanimous that the clubs wanted a spill of all executive positions at the AGM,” he said.
“It gives us a clean slate.
“In the spirit of trying to move forward, declare all positions vacant and renominate if you want to.
“The clubs can consider who they want.
“There are 101 possibilities. We could end up with the same board.”
Pola said potential candidates for the board had until November 11 – 14 days before the AGM – to register their interest.
“Everyone is welcome to renominate and the clubs are encouraged to actively canvas anyone interested,” he said.
“There are a couple who have expressed interest.
“We’ve asked potential nominees to give a brief bio of what they have to offer so we can circulate it to the clubs.”
