5PM: What a finish to the season! Percentage has determined third spot with North Warrnambool Eagles sneaking home. Port Fairy players and fans were forced to wait and see whether they’d finished third or fourth after the Eagles produced a 32-point win against Warrnambool.
4.24PM: North Warrnambool Eagles are only five points down against Warrnambool 15 minutes into the final term. The fight for third could become very interesting if the Eagles sneak home.
4.25PM: Full-time: Port Fairy has defeated Terang Mortlake, 11.11 (77) to 6.6 (42).
4.22PM: The big ruckman Adam McCosh slots a goal with a minute to play as the Seagulls stretch their lead out, up 77-42.
4.16PM: Tom Smith converts as the rain falls at Terang. Bloods trail 71-42.
4.13PM: Daniel Nicholson kicks the Seagulls’ first of the final term – at the 20-minute mark. He was influential in the opening half. Port Fairy up 71-36.
4.08PM: First goal of the term comes at the 14-minute mark after Terang Mortlake co-coach Chris Bant converts following a free kick. Port Fairy up 65-36.
4.07PM: Sounds like poor kicking could cost North Warrnambool Eagles third spot – they’ve kicked 6.15 against Warrnambool!
4.01PM: We’re eight minutes into the fourth term and it’s a stalemate. That will suit Port Fairy just fine – it’s up 65-30.
3.50PM: Cobden holds a 10.11 (71) to 8.5 (53) lead against Portland at the final break.
3.47PM: Three quarter-time: Port Fairy leads Terang Mortlake, 9.10 (64) to 4.6 (30).
3.43PM: Joel Crawley sent off for second time today.
3.41PM: Terang Mortlake gets its fourth goal through Joel Crawley, 24 minutes gone in the third term. Down 62-30.
3.38PM: Oops! Xavier McCartney plucks a great grab in the goal square and tries to do the team thing but his handpass is cut off. But his Seagulls are in control, leading 62-24.
3.33PM: Official netball ladder through. Some shock results – reigning premier Koroit is out of the finals race after losing to Camperdown, while South Warrnambool upset Hamilton Kangaroos to cement its top five spot. WOW! Pies recorded a three-goal win against the Saints to lock up third and the Roosters ended the Roos’ undefeated run with an 11-goal triumph.
3.31PM: Seagulls’ ball use better than the Bloods’. Hollmer kicks his third after an intercept mark and spearing pass from Guy Phelps. Port Fairy up 60-22.
3.30PM: Stalemate in the third term. Played 12 minutes and only one behind to the Bloods.
3.15PM: Terang Mortlake out early for the second half. Rain fell during half-time so I suspect it’ll become more scrappier.
2.57PM: Jackson Hollmer snaps a goal on the siren for Port Fairy. Seagulls lead 8.6 (54) to 3.3 (21) at half-time. Bit of heat in this contest.
2.53PM: Seagull ball winner Aaron Shields burrows in and gets a quick kick out to score his first goal. Great response.
2.51PM: Josh Carlin drills a set shot for the Bloods. Seagulls still hold a 40-21 lead.
2.48PM: Staunton plucks a strong grab but he can’t convert. Bloods are struggling to make the most of their forward entries, which are on about a par with the Seagulls.
2.43PM: Lots of class in the Seagulls’ forward line. Jackson Hollmer drills a long range snap. They lead 38-14.
2.40PM: Port Fairy gets the quick reply through Xavier McCartney. Seagulls up 32-14.
2.38PM: Bloods’ Alex Moloney soccers through a much-needed goal. Seagulls up 28-14.
2.35PM: Joel Crawley sent off after a scuffle on the wing, leaving the Bloods a rotation down.
2.32PM: Daniel Nicholson shows his poise, slotting a goal from 45 metres out as the Seagulls skip out to a handy lead, up 25-8 early in the second term.

2.13PM: Just like that the Bloods break their drought. Took 16 minutes to hit the scoreboard. Seagulls lead 13-1.
2.12PM: Seagulls’ defence resolute early. Bloods yet to hit the scoreboard despite 10 forward 50 entries.
2.03PM: Bean kicks a second classic goal. Weaved his way out of traffic. Seagulls look dangerous early, lead 12-0.
2PM: Port Fairy first on the board through Tyrone Bean. He wheeled around and snapped from 30 metres out. Classy finish. Seagulls up 6-0.
1.56PM: Big out for Terang Mortlake with veteran onballer Damian O’Connor a late withdrawal. Saving him for finals.
