Creighton broke his left arm, fractured his back and a broke some ribs after he fell from The Walrus in a maiden plate at Warrnambool on Saturday, June 27. The Walrus came down 300 metres from the start in the 1200-metre race.
The Irish-born hoop said he was unsure when he would resume riding.
“I've been told the broken arm and fractured back will take about eight weeks to mend,” he said.
"The doctors said I had a couple of seizures when I was in hospital - so I've got to go back and see what the doctors have got to say next week."
Creighton has ridden numerous winners in the Western District since moving to the area, including four of the seven winners at Penshurst on Boxing Day.
