The 21-year-old’s statement said he was “in no way sponsored, an ambassador or has any professional affiliation with LifeLine”.
“The support that has been received by Lifeline was simply some resources such as wallet cards and other print material,” Broadbelt’s press release said.
“We apologise for any confusion this mistake may have created.”
Broadbelt said he was “hounded” out of Timboon in March after his past deeds and previous bankruptcy were discovered while trying to set up a real estate business.
On Thursday, Lifeline was quick to distance itself from Broadbelt, who has gone by many aliases and was dubbed “Dodgy Dene” by the media.
