The third of the series’ six rounds attracted 236 riders to the Lake Gillear course.
Professional rider Dylan Long, an Albury rider who is a member of the south-west club, won the senior open A grade section.
Another Shipwreck Coast competitor, Ray Cole, was second.
Cole collected a win in the senior lites A grade division.
That pair were among a swag of Shipwreck Coast members to book podium finishes.
The host club notched a one-two finish in the senior open B grade section, with Will McGinley overcoming Corey Hawkes.
Shipwreck Coast filled the podium in the senior lites C grade battle, with Ben Reid, Jamie Kinna and Beau Stuchbery placing in that order. Jack Henzen (second) and Brayden Hawkes (third) performed admirably in the junior lites C grade division.
Samuel Chilton took the honours in the 85 small wheel B grade section and his clubmate Jett Bell was third in the 85 small wheel C grade.
Archie Parsons (second) and Tyson Hawkes (third) went head to head in the 50cc division two section, Fleur Barling won the women’s club title and Michael Pickert was second in the over 45 veterans.
Shipwreck Coast Motocross Club president Alan Primmer was thrilled with the standard of competition and quality of the course.
“The track was pretty fast. It was a good, grippy track,” he said.
“We had the best conditions we have had for a long time — it rained during the week and was dry on the weekend.”
Horsham hosts the next western region round on July 12.
