The Warriors trailed by 19 at half-time but booted 10 goals to two thereafter to win 16.7 (103) to 10.18 (78) at Dennington Recreation Reserve.
The win came seven days after they let slip a five-goal advantage to lose to Kolora-Noorat on Anzac Day.
Chris Chambers and Nathan Forth booted four goals each while ruckman Vincent Fogarty, onballer Josh Dwyer and teen Ben Rantall were their best.
Chris Keilar led the Dogs' scoring with three goals. Luke Duncan, Shane Graham and recruit Leigh Evans led the way in defeat.
Elsewhere, Allansford kept its unbeaten record in tact with a 57-point defeat of Kolora-Noorat in a top-of-the-table showdown at McLean Oval.
Brenton Webster kicked seven goals in a best-afield effort as the Cats won 19.10 (124) to 10.7 (67).
They trailed 6.4 to 5.3 late in the second term but kicked three unanswered goals before the break and added 11 to four in the second half.
Jet Dowie kicked 10 goals - the third such haul in the Warrnambool and District league this season - as Merrivale belted Deakin University by 246 points.
The Tigers won 37.30 (252) to 1.0 (6) at Merrivale Recreation Reserve. James Kelly and Claye Cassidy were also good for the Tigers.
Nirranda made up for wayward kicking with a late burst of goals in its 19.23 (137) to 3.2 (20) win against Timboon Demons at Nirranda Recreation Reserve.
Panmure posted its first win of the season with a 16.18 (114) to 12.11 (83) defeat of East Warrnambool at Reid Oval.
Bulldogs coach David Haynes kicked a season-high nine goals in his return from a hamstring injury.
And South Rovers were comfortable victors against Russells Creek at Walter Oval, winning 21.16 (142) to 4.7 (31).
Mark Murphy and Reece Cracknell booted five goals each while Jake Bacon was best-afield.
In the A grade netball, Old Collegians won the match of the day against Dennington, 51-45, to remain the only unbeaten side in the competition.
Three other matches ended in thrillers, with none closer than Nirranda's 51-50 upset of Timboon Demons.
South Rovers held off Russells Creek 37-33 while Kolora-Noorat withstood a fightback from Allansford to win 30-28.
Merrivale accounted for Deakin University 51-33 and Panmure posted its third match of the season against East Warrnambool, 65-21.
