The Canadian rapper cringed and wiped away the saliva after he was subject to Madge's gaping mouth on his face at Coachella on Sunday night.

Sources close to Drake tell TMZ say that the 28-year-old loved the kiss, he just wasn't into the 56-year-old's nasty-tasting lipstick.

The same sources deny it was a planned publicity stunt, that's despite Drake captioning a photo of the kiss on his instagram account, "Moments to write home about", like a fanboy.

Whether it was a stunt or not, it has certainly generated an avalanche of publicity for the pair.

Publicity along with the delight and derision of the internet.

Madge is famous for pashing younger co-performers on stage, most famously Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears at the 2003 MTV music awards. This time however, the mother of four is being teased for sucking the youth – or life – from them in her quest for eternal entertainment relevance.

In typical defiant style, however, Madonna has a message for her haters.
