The competition, which goes ahead without an open grade for the first time in its history, will feature representative sides from half-a-dozen associations stretching from Colac to Portland.
The 17 and under competition features two Hampden sides — Green and White — up against Warrnambool and District, South West District, Colac and District and Camperdown.
The 15 and under grade is part of the WRSL for the first time.
The opening round features a derby between Hampden Green and Hampden White. Colac and District, Warrnambool City Blue, Warrnambool City Gold and Warrnambool and District are the other sides chasing the title.
The seven-round regular season runs until March 12, with semi-finals and grand finals on the following two Thursdays.
