A Victorian man, who allegedly thought he was travelling to Queensland to have sex with an underage girl, has been arrested in an undercover sting.

The 47-year-old man was arrested by Taskforce Argos detectives when he arrived in Brisbane on Wednesday night.
He allegedly thought he was meeting a 14-year-old girl who he had chatted to online.
But he had in fact been communicating with a detective posing as the child.
The man has been been charged with 20 offences, including using a carriage service to groom a child under 16 years of age, using a carriage service to transmit indecent material to a person under 16 and using a carriage service to procure a person under 16.
He is due to face a Brisbane court on Thursday.
Detective Superintendent Cameron Harsley of the Child Safety and Sexual Crimes Group advised parents to remain vigilant about the dangers of their children using social media, particularly during school holidays.
"The increased use of mobile and tablet technologies by children has increased the opportunities for predators to target children online. It has also created an environment that limits the ability for parents to properly supervise online activity of their children," Superintendent Harsley said.
"While increased alertness around school holidays is important, these type of offences occur every single day."
