A NULLAWARRE man suffered suspected facial fractures during an attempted robbery outside an east Warrnambool supermarket at 10.30pm on Thursday night.

The 26-year-old man parked in the Woolworths supermarket car park on Gateway Road and was walking to the supermarket entrance when he was approached from behind by two men.
The men demanded he hand over his wallet and mobile telephone.
The victim refused and was repeatedly assaulted.
He drove home before his partner brought him back in to the Warrnambool Base Hospital for assessment and treatment.
Police attended at the hospital and it is suspected the victim suffered facial fractures.
Anyone with information about the assault or who may have seen two men in the area at about 10.30pm on Thursday night is requested to contact the Warrnambool police crime investigation unit or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
