Dennington’s Day Out will be held in the grounds of St John’s Primary School on Sunday from 11am to 3pm. A fund-raiser for the school, the event is being billed as a celebration for the whole Dennington community.
Dennington’s Day Out chairwoman Amy Atwell said it was an opportunity to showcase the community’s pride to everyone in the south-west.
“Dennington is a rapidly growing community and our event offers the wider community a great opportunity to not only spend time with their family and friends but also to network with and meet some new friends from our region,” Mrs Atwell said.
“Dennington’s Day Out is everything family, everything laughs and everything active.
“The whole day is about families having fun together and getting out to enjoy the beautiful spring weather while experiencing everything the Dennington community has to offer.”
Mrs Atwell said this year’s event had even more for families to come along and enjoy thanks to the efforts of a hard-working committee of parents.
New entertainment this year includes Harley-Davidson rides, a gladiator ring, an animal farm and hover cars. Pop-up shops, food vendors and children’s rides will be part of the set up on Sunday.
Entry is free and an unlimited rides armband costs $25 if purchased from the school before the event or $30 on the day.
