It will play Hallam Secondary College and St Joseph’s College, Mildura, at Collingwood’s spiritual home Victoria Park in the School Sport Victoria intermediate finals day.
Emmanuel College won through to the state deciders after winning the western region conference on August 7 against Essendon Keilor College at Ballarat.
Coach Noel Mugavin said his squad of 30 players wanted to test themselves against unfamiliar opponents.
“Our main strength is we are very even,” he said.
“We don’t rely on one person to be the dominating player.
“The whole group has to be focused on doing their bit.”
Each game will consist of four 11-minute quarters.
Mugavin said the reduced game time meant it was imperative players were switched on from the opening bounce.
“There is not a lot of time in these games to settle,” he said. “You haven’t got one or two quarters to settle, the game will be over.”
Warrnambool College lost to Frankston High School and Tallangatta Secondary College as part of School Sport Victoria’s senior finals day on Tuesday last week.
