DETECTIVES have arrested two men in the investigation of a Coleraine aggravated burglary last August.

A 68-year-old man with a serious heart condition was allegedly assaulted and robbed during the home invasion in Gage Street on August 12.

A 51-year- old Reservoir man and a 42-year-old Preston man were interviewed and released pending summons.

Police told The Standard the victim was in his Gage Street home when two unknown men broke into the house through the back door and tied him up.

Afte assaulting him, the pair stole the man's bank card and left the property. The victim managed to free himself and police were notified.

He was taken to the Hamilton hospital with a possible broken nose and bruising.
