POLICE will prepare a report for the coroner following a fatal motorcycle crash near Inverell earlier in the week.

On Thursday a 23-year-old man was reported missing to police after he failed to return home from work in Inverell.
Over the next two days officers from New England Local Area Command conducted searches of the area but were unable to locate the man.
About 4:45pm on Saturday police were called to Old Bingara Road, about 8km northwest of Bingara, where they found the 23-year-old man deceased.
It is believed the man was riding his Kawasaki motorcycle along the road when he lost control, left the roadway and crashed into a culvert.
A crime scene was established by police and examined by forensic officers.
