When Erin Holland hosts the Belvedere Winter Ball at The Star’s Marquee this Saturday the all-white dress code event will be the last gig of her tenure as Miss World Australia. A new titleholder will be crowned in the Hunter Valley on July 27, and Holland will cap an extraordinary year.

“When I look at where I was 12 months ago, it’s unbelievable,” she says. ‘I’d never been able to afford to travel and now I’ve been on 68 domestic flights and 27 international ones and visited 10 countries, including fascinating, magical places like Nepal.”
She’s also had a platform for her true love, music. “I’ve had the opportunity to sing at big events, such as Mr World, the Star Ball and Carols by Candlelight,” she says.
“I will certainly keep up my charity commitments. I see the value in doing all I can for causes such as Variety the Children’s Charity.
“While I’m sad to leave Miss World behind, there is so much to look forward to.”
