TERANG Mortlake reignited its finals aspirations with a five-point upset over third-placed North Warrnambool Eagles at Bushfield Recreation Reserve.

In driving rain and howling winds, the ninth-placed Bloods scored a late goal to claim a  3.9 (27) to 3.4 (22) triumph.

Top-side Warrnambool kicked just one goal in the first three quarters of its match against Camperdown before scoring a 19-point win at Reid Oval.

Captain Jason Rowan kicked 2.5 and one out on the full as the Blues won 4.18 (42) to 3.5 (23).

Portland shored up its fourth-position on the ladder with a 41-point win against Port Fairy at Hanlon Park. The Tigers kept the Seagull to just one goal for the match, which didn't come until the third quarter.

Second-placed Koroit avenged its shock loss to bottom-side Hamilton Kangaroos in round two with a 15-point win at Victoria Park.

Cobden is now a game clear in fifth place on the ladder after a 38-point win over South Warrnambool at Cobden Recreation Reserve.
