The four-year-old boy was airlifted to the Royal Children’s Hospital on Monday with a head injury after he stood on some cow milking machinery in a rotary dairy.
Paramedics attended a Jancourt East farming property on Lavers Hill-Cobden Road about 12.20pm and found the boy in a critical condition.
A man identifying himself as the boy’s brother wrote on The Standard’s Facebook page saying “doctors are positive he will be OK”.
A spokeswoman for the Royal Children’s Hospital confirmed the four-year-old was considered stable.
The Victorian WorkCover Authority is aware of the incident and is making inquiries.
