Warrnambool cyclist hit by truck on Sunshine Coast

A 48-year old Warrnambool cyclist was hit by a truck on Queensland's Sunshine Coast on Thursday morning. 

Police said the man, who is holidaying in the area, was riding with another person in Tewantin, near Noosa, when he was hit by a 3.5-tonne truck about 7.45am. 

He was flung onto the windscreen of the truck and sustained chest injuries. 

He was flown in a RACQ CareFlight chopper to the Nambour Hospital in a stable condition.
